Terms & Conditions – SinghXpress Courier Services
Domestic & International Courier, Parcel & Logistics Services
1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
SinghXpress, a brand of Singh International Xpress, provides domestic and international courier, parcel and logistics services.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Amritsar, Punjab, India.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any liability, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
2. Sender Responsibility
The sender is responsible for:
- Providing complete and accurate sender and receiver information.
- Providing the correct address, house/flat number, phone number and PIN/ZIP code.
- Correctly declaring the contents, quantity and value of the shipment.
- Ensuring that the contents are legally permitted for carriage.
- Providing suitable internal and external protection when the sender packs the shipment.
- Checking the booking receipt/docket immediately after booking.
- Not concealing, misdeclaring or falsely describing any shipment contents.
3. Prohibited & Restricted Items
Shipments must comply with Indian law, destination-country law and applicable airline, carrier and customs regulations.
- Cash or currency
- Gold, silver and valuable jewellery
- Explosives and flammable materials
- Dangerous chemicals
- Narcotics and illegal drugs
- Weapons and prohibited articles
- Undeclared lithium batteries
- Any item prohibited or restricted by customs, airline or carrier rules
4. Packing & Damage Policy
4.1 Customer-Packed Shipments
Where the sender packs the shipment, the sender is responsible for proper and secure internal and external packaging appropriate to the nature, weight, fragility and value of the item.
The packaging should protect the contents against normal transportation conditions including movement, vibration, pressure, stacking, handling and reasonable impact.
SinghXpress is not responsible for damage, leakage or breakage caused by inadequate, weak, unsuitable or insufficient packing.
4.2 SinghXpress Packing Service
Where the customer purchases packing or repacking from SinghXpress, reasonable care and suitable available packing materials will be used based on the information provided and the nature of the shipment.
Proper packing reduces transportation risk but cannot eliminate every risk associated with handling, sorting, security inspection, customs inspection, airline handling or third-party carrier operations.
4.3 Outer Box Undamaged but Item Damaged
If the outer box appears undamaged but the item inside is damaged, the condition of the outer box alone does not automatically establish carrier liability.
Internal damage may result from insufficient internal cushioning, movement, pressure, fragility, impact or other causes. Any claim will be assessed based on available evidence, packaging, contents, declared value and applicable carrier or insurance terms.
4.4 No Automatic Full Compensation
Damage, breakage or leakage does not automatically create an entitlement to reimbursement of the full purchase price or market value.
Where a claim is eligible, compensation will be subject to the applicable liability limit, insurance/protection, evidence requirements and these Terms & Conditions.
5. Courier & Shipping Charges
Courier charges are service and transportation charges. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, courier charges do not constitute automatic damage insurance or a 100% damage-free delivery guarantee.
Packing, insurance/protection, remote-area, address-correction, RTO, storage, customs and other applicable charges may be separate.
6. Weight & Volumetric Weight
Shipping charges may be calculated using the actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
If weight or dimensions are under-declared, additional applicable charges must be paid by the sender.
7. Delivery Time & Service Levels
Delivery times are estimated working-day timelines and are not 100% guaranteed. Actual delivery time depends on the selected service, destination, distance, carrier network, customs clearance, airline schedules, security checks and other operational conditions.
7.1 International Shipments
International Standard Service
Estimated transit time only. International Standard delivery depends on destination country, carrier/service availability, customs clearance, airline schedules, security checks, holidays and other operational conditions.
International Express / Priority
Estimated transit time only. Express/Priority service is recommended for time-sensitive international shipments, but the estimated timeline is not an absolute delivery guarantee unless a specific written guarantee has been expressly confirmed.
7.2 Domestic Shipments
Domestic Standard – Road Service
Estimated transit time. Delivery depends on the distance between origin and destination, road connectivity, destination location, carrier network, holidays, weather and other operational conditions.
Domestic Express / Priority
Estimated transit time. Express/Priority service is intended for time-sensitive domestic shipments, but the estimated timeline is not an absolute delivery guarantee unless specifically confirmed in writing.
International delivery timelines may be affected by customs clearance, airline schedules, flight cancellation, cargo offloading, weather, strikes, security checks, government restrictions, destination-country rules, carrier network issues, remote-area delivery, incorrect information or force majeure events.
Domestic delivery timelines may be affected by distance, road conditions, weather, holidays, remote-area delivery, carrier network conditions, address issues, security checks, government restrictions and other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
A delay beyond the estimated working-day period does not automatically create a right to refund, compensation or cancellation, subject to applicable law and any specific service guarantee expressly purchased.
8. Urgent Shipments – Express / Priority Must Be Selected at Booking
If a customer books a shipment under Standard Service and later, after booking or after several days, requests urgent or faster delivery, SinghXpress cannot guarantee that the shipment can be upgraded, accelerated or delivered within the requested deadline.
Customers must clearly communicate their urgency and required delivery time before payment and booking, so that the available service option can be selected at the booking stage.
SinghXpress will not be responsible for a missed personal, business, travel, event, visa, examination or other deadline where the customer selected Standard Service despite requiring urgent delivery.
9. Customs, Duties & Origin Clearance
Shipments may require security screening, customs clearance, documentation or regulatory approval at origin, transit or destination.
If a shipment cannot proceed because of a genuine customs, security, airline or regulatory issue at origin, SinghXpress may hold, reject, return, amend or otherwise handle the shipment according to the applicable procedure.
Customs clearance is not solely within SinghXpress's control and clearance cannot be guaranteed where an authority or carrier refuses, holds or restricts a shipment.
10. Parcel Lost or Stolen During Transit
If a shipment is reported lost or stolen while within the applicable carrier network, SinghXpress may investigate the shipment and initiate an eligible carrier claim where appropriate.
Any eligible compensation will be subject to the applicable carrier liability, declared value, insurance/protection, evidence and these Terms & Conditions.
Where insurance or shipment protection has been purchased, the claim will additionally be subject to the applicable policy terms, documentation and verification.
11. Delivered Status & Post-Delivery Loss
Final-mile delivery may be performed by SinghXpress or a third-party carrier according to the applicable delivery procedure.
A shipment may be delivered to the receiver, an authorised family member, neighbour, reception/security desk, mailbox, doorstep or another permitted safe location depending on the carrier's procedure.
Where official carrier tracking or proof of delivery records the shipment as Delivered, any later theft, disappearance, misplacement or damage occurring after delivery is generally outside SinghXpress's responsibility, subject to applicable law and the actual circumstances.
If tracking shows Delivered but the customer claims non-receipt, the customer must report the issue to SinghXpress within 24 hours.
12. RTO / Undeliverable Shipments
A shipment may be returned to origin due to:
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Receiver unavailable or unreachable
- Receiver refusing delivery
- Customs duty or tax not paid
- Required documents not provided
- Import restrictions
- Customs or carrier refusal
- Other delivery or regulatory restrictions
If RTO occurs:
- Return freight charges may apply.
- Customs, handling, penalty or storage charges may apply.
- Original freight charges are generally non-refundable.
- The sender must pay applicable return and additional charges.
13. Insurance / Shipment Protection
Where available, insurance or shipment protection must normally be requested and paid for at the time of booking.
13.1 Domestic Shipment Insurance / Protection
This protection is available only where the selected carrier, courier company or insurance provider offers the applicable cover. It is not automatically available for every carrier or service.
- The customer must specifically request the insurance/protection at the time of booking.
- The applicable 2% + GST charge must be paid as required for the selected service.
- The customer must provide the original GST bill/invoice as proof of the value of the goods.
- Coverage applies only to eligible loss cases and remains subject to the applicable carrier/insurance policy, exclusions, verification and claim requirements.
- Insurance/protection cannot be added after dispatch where the shipment was originally booked without the applicable carrier-risk insurance or protection.
- Payment of the 2% + GST charge does not automatically mean that every loss, damage, shortage or claim will be payable.
13.2 International Shipment Insurance / Protection
International insurance or shipment protection, where available, is subject to the selected carrier, service and applicable policy terms. The customer must request and pay for such protection at the time of booking where the selected service offers it.
The sender must accurately declare the contents and value.
Purchasing insurance does not mean that every loss or damage event is automatically payable. Claims remain subject to the applicable policy, exclusions, evidence, verification and carrier requirements.
14. International Shipment Liability
Eligible total-loss claims during transit are subject to a maximum standard liability of ₹8,500 INR or the verified declared/invoice value, whichever is lower, subject to applicable exclusions, evidence and carrier terms.
The ₹8,500 amount is a maximum liability limit and is not automatic compensation. A claim must first be eligible and verified.
International Documents
International documents carry ZERO CLAIM LIABILITY, except for liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Compensation may not be payable for:
- Fragile damage
- Internal breakage
- Leakage
- Spoilage
- Improper or insufficient packing
- Excluded partial loss
- Delivery delay
- Customs inspection, detention or seizure
- Government action
- Prohibited or undeclared contents
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Indirect or consequential business loss
15. Domestic Shipment Liability
Eligible loss or damage claims are subject to a maximum standard liability of ₹2,000 INR, subject to applicable exclusions, evidence and these Terms & Conditions.
The ₹2,000 amount is a maximum liability limit and is not automatic compensation.
Domestic Insurance / Shipment Protection
Where the selected carrier/company offers the applicable insurance or shipment protection, the customer may request additional protection at the time of booking for an additional charge of 2% + applicable GST.
The customer must provide the original GST bill/invoice as value proof. The applicable protection is limited to eligible loss cases and remains subject to the carrier/insurance provider's terms, conditions, exclusions, verification and claim procedure.
Insurance/protection cannot be added after dispatch if the shipment was booked without the applicable carrier-risk insurance or protection. The 2% + GST option is not automatically available for every carrier.
Where additional insurance or shipment protection is available, customers may purchase it at the applicable additional charge at the time of booking.
Domestic Documents
Domestic documents carry ZERO CLAIM LIABILITY, except for liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
16. Mandatory Unboxing Video & Claim Procedure
The customer should:
- Start recording before opening the parcel.
- Clearly show the shipping label.
- Show the complete outer packaging and its condition.
- Keep the recording continuous.
- Do not cut, pause or edit the video.
- Show the internal packaging.
- Show the damaged or missing contents clearly.
- Provide invoice/value proof and other documents if requested.
17. Inspection & Re-Inspection
For security, safety, customs and regulatory compliance, shipments may be opened, inspected, scanned or re-inspected by authorised parties, including:
- SinghXpress staff
- Third-party courier/carrier partners
- Airlines
- Indian Customs
- Destination Customs
- Aviation/security authorities
- Other government authorities
A shipment may be repacked following authorised inspection. Inspection or repacking does not by itself establish a damage claim.
18. Address Accuracy & Verification
The sender must provide a complete and accurate destination address, including apartment/house number, phone number and PIN/ZIP code.
The sender should carefully verify the address printed on the booking receipt/docket immediately after booking.
If a typing or address error is identified, the sender should notify SinghXpress as soon as possible, preferably within 2 hours of booking, so that correction can be attempted before onward processing.
Incorrect or incomplete information may result in additional charges, delay, failed delivery or RTO.
19. Batteries & Magnetic Items – Airline Restrictions
Examples may include lithium batteries, power banks, battery-powered devices, strong magnets and other articles classified as restricted dangerous goods.
Customers must declare such items at the booking counter and ask SinghXpress whether the item is acceptable for the selected service.
Never conceal or misdeclare a battery or magnetic item.
If an item is rejected, held, delayed, removed or returned by an airline, security authority, customs authority or carrier because of applicable restrictions, SinghXpress will not guarantee the originally estimated delivery timeline.
20. Medicines & Special Goods
Medicines, food products, supplements, electronic products and other special goods may be subject to additional customs, airline and destination-country requirements.
The receiver may be required to provide prescriptions, permits, identification, declarations or other documents.
If destination authorities refuse, hold, destroy or return a shipment, the sender may be responsible for applicable return freight, customs, penalties and other charges.
21. Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
- Address correction
- Remote / ODA delivery
- Oversize or overweight shipments
- Non-stackable or special handling
- Repacking
- RTO / return freight
- Storage
- Customs-related charges
- Carrier surcharges
- Additional handling
- Regulatory or inspection-related charges
22. Payment Before Dispatch
Shipment charges must be fully cleared through an approved SinghXpress payment method before the shipment is dispatched.
Credit booking or unpaid booking is not considered confirmed unless SinghXpress has expressly approved credit terms in writing.
If the required payment has not been deposited/received in the approved bank account or paid at the authorised cash counter/payment point, the shipment will not be dispatched until payment is confirmed.
Any additional charges arising after booking must also be paid when required before the shipment can continue, be delivered or be released.
23. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Where a customer initiates a fraudulent, dishonest or unjustified chargeback after receiving the contracted service, SinghXpress may provide booking records, payment records, tracking information, communications and proof of service to the payment provider or relevant authority.
Where legally permitted, reasonable recovery and administrative costs may also be claimed.
24. Indirect & Consequential Loss
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SinghXpress is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit, income, business opportunity or goodwill.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
25. Third-Party Carriers & Logistics Partners
SinghXpress may use third-party courier companies, airlines, customs brokers, logistics providers and delivery partners.
Shipment movement and delivery may therefore be subject to the operational procedures, restrictions and liability terms of the relevant carrier or service provider.
SinghXpress may assist the customer with an eligible carrier claim, but cannot guarantee the outcome of a third-party investigation.
26. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a shipment, making payment, handing over a parcel or using SinghXpress services, the sender/customer confirms that they have had an opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them, subject to applicable law.
27. Customer Safe & Shipment Notice
- Courier service does not mean 100% damage-free delivery.
- Proper packing reduces risk but cannot eliminate all risks associated with transportation, sorting, inspection, customs and carrier handling.
- Customer-packed shipments remain the sender's responsibility for suitable internal and external protection.
- Courier charges are transportation/service charges and do not automatically include damage insurance.
- An undamaged outer box does not automatically prove that internal damage was caused by the courier.
- ₹8,500 International and ₹2,000 Domestic amounts are maximum standard non-insured liability limits, not automatic compensation amounts.
- Domestic insurance/protection, where offered by the selected carrier, may be purchased at 2% + applicable GST at booking. Original GST bill/invoice is required as value proof.
- Domestic insurance/protection is available only where the selected carrier/company offers the applicable cover and is not automatically available for every carrier.
- No insurance/protection can be added after dispatch if the shipment was booked without the applicable carrier-risk insurance/protection.
- Claims are subject to eligibility, evidence, verification, applicable carrier terms and these Terms & Conditions.
- Continuous unboxing video evidence is strongly required for damage, shortage and missing-content claims.
- Urgent shipments should be booked under Express/Priority service at the time of booking.
- International Standard Service is estimated at 10–15 working days.
- International Express/Priority Service is estimated at 3–7 working days.
- Domestic Standard Road Service is estimated at 4–8 working days, depending on distance and destination.
- Domestic Express/Priority Service is estimated at 3–5 working days.
- All delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by carrier operations, distance, customs, weather, holidays, security, government restrictions and other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
- Battery and magnetic items must be declared before booking because airline and carrier restrictions may apply.
- Unpaid shipments will not be dispatched.
- The sender must provide accurate information and must not ship prohibited or undeclared goods.
